The Hungry Earth – Not a Review

We’re holding off on the podcast and I’m holding off my review of this story until next week’s episode, Cold Blood has aired, but honestly, it’s driving me to distraction not at least giving some random thoughts that the program has brought up.

So this illustration is just me, putting some ideas up from this season on a whiteboard. See if they draw you to the same conclusion they do me:

Doctor Who Crack Mindmap

  1. I love it. I can see and understand all the pieces, and I have no idea what conclusion you’ve drawn. I feel like Doctor Watson. It’s great.

What is the change in appearance of the TARDIS in Hungry Earth? Did I miss something?

Are you ignoring future Doctor telling Amy to remember what he told her when she was seven in Flesh and Stone?

  3. Ok, both of those might be errors on my part. I did forget to included the bit about the Doctor telling Amy to remember. I’ll update the MindMap to include it.

I’m running back all the footage from the inside of the TARDIS from this series and I think I am mistaken. It’s probably the director using different camera shots, but things that I’d not noticed before looked much more prominent.

  5. Incidentally, I produced that MindMap with a nifty piece of software called iThoughtsHD for the iPad.

It’s a lot of fun – but I’m still not sure how useful MindMapping is. 🙂

  6. I’m so getting that software!:-) When I’ve got an iPad 🙁

Viewing the TARDIS shots in this one, I do remember reflecting how it doesn’t look as good as previous TARDII, and not having really felt that about the current new look (in fact in TEH I was quite impressed by it) but I don’t feel familiar enough yet to notice the changes.
