Digital Spy => ITV goes for more ‘Benidorm’ and ‘Primeval’
ITV’s series Primeval has been renewed for another series next year.
On the re-commission, executive producer Tim Haines said: “Impossible Pictures is incredibly proud of Primeval, and we’re over the moon that audiences share our passion. ITV’s continued support ensures that Cutter and his team will be back to save the world in the very near future, or past, depending on which side of an anomaly you’re on!â€
Nick Elliott, director of network drama for ITV, said: “Primeval has had a wonderful response both from the public and from the press. We’ve opened up a new slot and a new family audience on Saturday night for ITV and the decision to recommission was not a tough one. We’re really looking forward to seeing Cutter and his team in action again.â€
Now… if they’d just hire a scientific advisor…

I haven’t seen Primeval, I’m getting tempted. But I think there must be a shortage of Scientific Advisors working in television – or Doctor Who might have one. (Maybe you should apply – send in your estimate of the volume of Runaway Bride’s Thames draining hole). Torchwood, meanwhile, just need to hire a librarian, to get a better understanding of how ISBN numbers work.
